Microblogging in athletics is very useful to me. As a softball and basketball coach, I have used it for both teams. It is useful because you can easily give information to the team and the fans about what is going on. I like the fact that I can post on Twitter about a fundraiser and it can get re-tweeted in an instant and it can travel a lot faster than word of mouth. I also like the fact that I can post stats and team pictures that the team will like to see and not have to text it individually.
I think it is good for education because it can give a better way for students to talk to the teacher after hours and the teacher wouldn't have to give her personal phone number out. It also helps communication with their peers and they can easily ask each other questions and help one another out. I know that in any case, you have to have respect for each other and that is huge to microblogging because if you cross the line then that is when it turns negative.
